CO2 emissions in Ukraine
According to the latest report from EDGAR (Emissions Database for Global Atmospheric Research), CO2 emissions in Ukraine remained below 150 metric tonnes (Mt) for the second year in a row. The majority originated from the power industry (50 Mt), followed by industrial combustion (19 Mt) and buildings (17 Mt).
While this reduction is partly due to the ongoing decline in industrial activity, it is important to note that this is largely a result of the destruction and occupation of key industrial areas.
