Russian Gas Transit through Ukraine 2020 - 2024

The current gas transit contract between Naftogazand Gazprom expires at the end of 2024. As Russia is obligated to pay for the booked capacity regardless of its use, under the ship-or-pay clause in the contract, it reportedly paid USD 1.2 billion in 2022 and USD 0.8 billion in 2023. IRussiat is expected to continue paying for transit in 2024.
