Simulation of hourly wind and solar generation in 2024

Russian aggression against Ukraine's energy infrastructure has resulted in considerable losses of wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity. Consequently, the remaining capacities of around 320 Megawatts (MW) [1] of wind power and 3700 MW [2] of solar PV (including 1200 MW of roof-top [3] in Ukrainian-controlled areas) will make little contribution to the total electricity supply in the coming months.
