Presentation the GDU work on Data and Modelling
Data and modelling experts, presented the GDU work to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy experts
In the framework of the Danish Energy Agency's Green Transition Program with Ukraine, our data and modelling experts, Frank Meißner and Robert Carr, presented the GDU work on Data and Modelling to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy experts this week and last.
During the sessions, they reviewed some of the basics of electricity system modelling, examined PyPSA (Python for Power Systems Analysis) on the Ukrane's energy system and its workings in more detail, and presented an extract of our outage analysis results. You can find the presentation below.
With the PyPSA, our experts are now working on an analysis to simulate the degree to which electricity demand cannot be met in Ukraine from June 2024 to May 2025 under different scenarios. The results can be found in our latest paper, “Modelling the Electricity Deficit in Ukraine and Potential Policy Responses for the period June 2024 – May 2025”.
