Strengthening Trilateral Cooperation: Visit to AGH University in Kraków
In this context, last week Dr Susanne Nies and Olga Bondarenko, together with colleagues from Forum Energii (Joanna Pandera PhD, Danylo Moiseienko), Kyiv Energy and Climate Lab (KECLab) (Vladyslav Mikhnych) and National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Dr Olha Poliukhovych), dr hab. Marcin Stoczkiewicz (IEP) visited AGH University of Krakow to explore opportunities for closer collaboration.
We were warmly welcomed by our counterparts at AGH (Artur Wyrwa) and had a constructive exchange on the energy transition, ongoing research activities, and perspectives for joint work. Discussions also covered energy system modelling and analytical work, as well as perspectives for academic collaboration, including the development of a Master`s programme in Energy and Climate at NaUKMA.
The visit provided valuable insights into AGH’s work, including a tour of the laboratories at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels and the AGH Energy Centre.
The discussions confirmed strong common ground across institutions and highlighted the potential for deepening cooperation in research, education, and policy-relevant analysis.
We look forward to continuing this exchange and further strengthening trilateral collaboration in support of the energy transition.
Many thanks to our Polish partners for organising and hosting the meeting.
