The highlight is the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) in Gdańsk.

Full of energy and optimism, we’re kicking off a busy and productive week for our project – and for Ukraine’s energy and climate agenda.

This year, Green Deal Ukraïna is hosting three side events focused on our core expertise:

  • Energy Market Liberalisation: Sequencing Market Reforms, Carbon Pricing and Subsidy Reforms (24 June 2026)
  • Energy Governance in Ukraine: Progress, Challenges, and Next Steps (24 June 2026)
  • Scientific Excellence and Next-Generation Leaders in Energy and Climate Ukraine (25 June 2026)

We’ve worked hard to assemble an outstanding line-up of speakers to ensure these sessions are practical and results-oriented.

At URC2026, Susanne Nies will moderate a discussion on the practical conditions needed to accelerate private-sector investment in Ukraine’s low-emission energy transition at the Sustainable Energy Dialogue: Investment Frameworks, Reforms and Market Transformation (part of the Energy Platform).

This week we’ll also convene our Advisory Council Meeting. We look forward to welcoming you in Gdańsk and to advancing our work on Green Deal Ukraïna, KECLab, and our wider cooperation to support Ukraine’s recovery and European integration.

Outside the official programme, we’re especially excited about the bilateral meetings with market stakeholders. These side conversations are where much of the real progress happens. We’re eager to share our latest research and explore the most effective energy and climate solutions for Ukraine and Europe.
