Why is Ukraine’s early access to international institutions in the energy sector so important?
We are pleased to share a new interview with Susanne Nies, GDU Project Lead for @Energoreforma, where she discusses Ukraine’s current integration into international energy institutions and explores opportunities for further collaboration.
Key messages:
- Ukraine is already a member of ENTSO-E, which is very important at this time. The next priority is ACER.
- Membership in European energy institutions provides opportunities for legal approximation to the EU acquis, public representation, network and partnership development, as well as strengthening influence on processes and decisions.
- While full membership in ACER, CEER, and EU DSO Entity awaits EU accession, Ukraine can deepen early participation via observer roles, working groups, joint projects, and pilots—building expertise and influence now.
