Sheduled Power Outages by Oblast: Before and After Attacks on 8 November

Russian attacks on civil electricity infrastructure in Ukraine have regularly resulted in scheduled power outages over the last several years.

Recent massive attacks have worsened the situation substantially. In the figure we show the scheduled hourly outages, averaged per day, for each Oblast in the week before and after the November 8th attack. While Western regions have managed to avoid massive outages, Kyiv and the Eastern regions have experienced blackouts of eight to twelve hours and more per day, on average.
