Electricity imports Ukraine and Moldova

The peak import hours have remained relatively consistent, typically between 16:00 and 21:00. 

While the maximum import limit is still not reached in many hours, the month-to-month increase in imports reflects:

• increased damage to domestic generation capacities 
• higher electricity consumption during the colder months 
• higher cross-border net transfer capacity (NTC) limits 
• increased day-ahead market price caps in Ukraine since mid-January
