Ukraine`s weekly electricity exports reached a ten-months hight
Last week, Ukraine's electricity exports reached a ten-month high (over a seven-day period), totalling 70.7 GWh. The vast majority flowed to Moldova, Romania and Hungary, as extreme heat and drought constrained nuclear generation in the latter two countries and tightened electricity supply across the region. With Moldova heavily reliant on imports and Romanian supply under pressure, Ukrainian electricity increasingly helped fill the gap. July was also the first calendar month since September 2025 that Ukraine was a net exporter of electricity
