Ukraine’s Renewable Auction Quotas (2025–2029)

After the failure of Ukraine’s 2024 pilot renewable auctions (only 0.9 MW awarded out of 110 MW), the 2025 round shows a mixed picture: only the July wind auction succeeded, with DTEK as the sole bidder.

The government’s approved quotas for 2025–2029 signal ambition to expand wind, solar, and bioenergy. Yet, persistent structural problems in the Renewable support framework, and investor concerns continue to threaten effective implementation.
